Default Need advice for quilting & embroidery machine

I'm thinking of upgrading my existing Janome machine. Need recommendations on a good mid-range quilting and embroidery machine. I need one that is good for FMQ and basic embroidery like monograms/alphabets for personalised projects. Bernina is out of my budget. Is the Brother QC-1000 or NV1250D a good choice? Any other advice is greatly appreciated!

QC-1000 is not embroidery, it really depends on your budget. There are probably a lot of nice used brother/babylocks on the market right now due to the release of the dream machine/destiny. I did love my babylock espire which was the same as the qc but traded for a dreamweaver even more awesome but cost way more than my espire

I would probably check out the new brother line coming out this month, there should be one in the 3 k range that does what you need. My dealer was really impressed with the midrange line at the convention. They haven't come in yet as of last weekend so maybe by the end of the month
