Default need advice on using Chicago Cubs fabric

I bought Chicago Cubs fabric to make a quilt for a friend. However I need some input about what to use for a pattern? My own opinion is to put a big square block of this fabric in the center and then make a twisted ribbon on all four sides of the block. Twisted ribbon would be the top side of ribbon is the cubs fabric....underside of ribbon would be red or blue....to match the colors in the fabric. However I am afraid just a big square block in the center will look "too simple", does that make sense? Any thoughts or better ideas? I appreciate your help, as I am really stuck on this one of what to do. Thank you!!

May I suggest you look at some of the 3 Yard patterns from Fabric Cafe. They have lots of patterns that work with a large block to showcase a printed fabric.

I was just on the Villa Rosa website and there are many "postcard" pattern on there that you could use. Patterns can be downloaded or purchased for $2.00 each.....shipping is free!

I think it makes sense to keep it simple to show off the fabric.

No sense cutting it up so small the logos disappear.
