When I visited Fons and Porter the lady working in the store recommended cotton batting because when you wash it it will pucker the quitling some.

I use Hobbs 80/20 most often and have only had one problem with one bag. It had a spot in it that hadn't been cleaned well enough in the process so my thread kept shredding in that one spot & bird seed like stuff would fly up through the needle hole. Weird! Never had it happen before or since.

I just recently tried Hobbs Poly Down and wow I like it. The price was excellent at CT for sure. 4 of us went and had some packages shipped.
