I vote for your forum name too!!

When I chose my business name I wanted something that was comforting as well as something with a local flair. Here in Newfoundland we have alot of original and creative place names across the island. Around central there is a small cove called "Comfort Cove". I went with Comfort Cove Designs as my business name. It has a touch of comfort as quilts do and it is a local place here on the island. I'm not from that place and have never been there, but I really like the name!! :)

    Good luck with your business!!!

Speaking of catchy names, when we were coming back from Arkansas, we passed this flea market/antique store and it was called--------------"Fleas and 'Tiques" Isn't that catchy?? Just like in the Ozark - there are fleas and ticks! I LOVED IT!

Painting and Quilting for the Home suggests the word Decor or Design to me. Would you say you are artistic? Do you want to continue to have a focus on teaching? Or are you going to be another typical quilt store? I think it would be helpful to have your business goal identified first, then come up with the name.

You could use the artist's brush and a thimble in your logo-maybe displayed sitting on a quilt.

I am stuck on - Quilts by Ann
but think I would like something a little more ...don't know what else it may need
or should I just keep it short and simple and stick to Quilts by Ann ?

I am open for any and all suggestions
    thanks

Names beginning with Q come late on lists. At times that could make a difference. If could come into play with your new business, consider swapping them around:

    Ann Quilts
I agree that you do not want to start this with a "Q" as that does come late on searches........I really like Brush and Thimbles.......catchy....and it would come early on searches, where results are alphabetized.........

Oh and is this going to a registered name? You need at least 3 you like for someone else might have the same name. They will do a search when you file.
