Well, as usual, I guess I'm the dissenting voice, !
I would leave off the sashing *because* setting the blocks side-by-side creates a minor secondary pattern that gives the eye yet another design to look at. Sashing stops the action every time, in my opinion.
The colors are great and I like the top picture a lot.

I agree with Jan about the secondary pattern (is that what makes it a D4P?) because it causes the eye to search.
However, after looking back several times at your pictures, the sashing makes such a clean-cut look and that is pleasing to my eyes. I think either way it will a very pretty quilt.
