I want to make the Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt. I have been reading that it is rather difficult unless you paper piece. So, I went looking for the paper piecing template. I found the cd that you can buy for them, but you must have EQ to use it. Herein lies the problem. I do not have EQ and don't have the money to buy it. What do you recommend?

Make your own template. I usually sew 4-6 layers of paper (no thread) on the lines. Then number each sheet in sewing order. After you make a few blocks, you won't even need the numbers.

This talented quilter shows you how to draft the patterns without the need of paper piecing: http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/...abel/Tutorials

Scroll down for the Farmer's Wife blocks. Good luck! I've been enjoying seeing all these beautiful blocks in blogland.
