Hum...........mindless I don't think so.............love the salt box houses.............very very nice quilt..........since it is asymmetrical I would perhaps add only one vertical boarder like using large pine patches, or more of the stars................I would place it on the left side................so beautiful............calla

I love your quilt. There are so many neat details in it. Like the sheep that is doing the splits, the crow with the long skinny legs, and the adopted cat. They all add to the whimsical look of the quilt and I approve of all of them. Thank you so much for sharing and please come back with the pictures when you have made your decision. If you want us to look at it after the border has been chosen, and prior to attaching it, that'd be great, too.

Since your theme is houses, what about a piano key border about 5 or 6 inches wide using the dark and medium colors in the quilt? They could look like logs instead of piano keys....if you know what I mean.
No opinion on the cat. I think he's cute and if I liked him there, I'd leave him.

Whatever you end up doing will doubtless be fabulous, because what you've done already is. I love your balance of colors/figures, whimsy/seriousness, and see not a single thing here so far would I want to see changed!
