    Question Need help with borders

This train quilt has kicked my butt throughout and now I need to add borders. Do you like the railroad fabric then another black border? something else plain? what?

I like the train fabric with black binding. I also think a solid red border next to the narrow black sashing with black binding would look great too and not distract from the other prints.

I like the RR fabric, but I don't think you need another black border after that. Just bind it in the black.

I'm with dunster - add the railroad fabric and then bind in black.

The train fabric for the border looks great. I would finish it off with a binding in the same fabric as the sashings.

I agree with the others, the train fabric and bind it with the same fabric as the sashing.
You are doing a great job.

Binding it with the sashing fabric would be my choice along with a border of the train fabric. I would also put a flange border between the quilt and the train border in red. I think this would really set it off nicely. I'd audition it first but in my mind I think this is the way I would go.
