This is not a DWR, but the colors are lovely and neutral!

I think some one posted a wedding ring quilt recently that was an old one and it was done in pale colors. Search it.

I agree. :) Good luck. Can't wait to see what colors you pick.

I would go with those shades of tan and creams also with a very white background.

One more question for you.... I now that this is my quilt and that I can do about anything I want but my issue with colors well lets just say Thank goodness that there was a time when plaids and strips matched!!! Ok back to the question. I have a bunch of white on white fabric that are different styles and wondered if the DWR could be scrapy or should I stick with one color for the middles of the rings? (for the melons and the weird square part) Thank you!!

I've seen one done in neutrals ranging from white all the way to gold/tan - I think some were tone on tone and some had little patterns to them. It was lovely because of the range of colors in the arches.

It's admirable that you want to make this pattern for your grandmother. I made one for one of my kids about 10 years ago made up in greens/blues/pink and white. For me it was a labor of love pattern/quilt. However, I've warned my other kids not to plan on this pattern for any of their future quilts! Of course now I'm better at quilting and who knows...

I would think that if your white on whites were all the same white, you could mix and match them. If they aren't the same white, I would go with one white. Can't wait to see a picture of the quilt when you are finished!
