Maybe someone has software to convert a design for me or can direct me to a site that can do it? I need the free files from this site http://www.designsinstitches.com/Free_Sashiko.htm converted to .exp and I don't know how to go about it:< I used to have some conversion software, but it was old and I know it didn't convert to the newer .exp Bernina format. Thanks for any help.

    http://www.wilcom.com.au/
The free download is on the far right. This is the one I use all the time to convert files.

I have a mac, but I can toggle over to a Windows run side...though it's quite a pain. I don't see anywhere what the list of formats it converts to. Do you know for sure if it converts to .exp?

When you download the free program first it gives you an advertisement then the program comes up,, Go to the file folder icon at the top and it will give you a list of what you can convert from and to. Yes it does do exp.

Do you know if Melco .EXP is the same as the .EXP currently running on newer Bernina machines? This stuff can be so confusing. And I guess Mac conversion software is too much to ask for...

I've also found some downloads for "StitchBuddy" that works on Mac.

Ack. The STitchBuddy isn't working. I'm going to have to attempt to switch over to my (hated) Windows side of my Mac...

Candace there is a program Buzz Tools which is relatively cheap and easy to use that will convert to .esp. I have been using BT for yrs. and find it very successful, but check it out on the internet. missbelle

I have a Bernina 730 and can use most of the file types. It opens PES, XXX, etc. If you have Editor lite or Art Design they should open them. When it opens them it automatically converts to ART

My new Bernina takes .exp and runs on a completely different system than your 730, but thanks anyway...and I sold my Buzz Tools because it's Windows based. I've got a Mac and hate windows programs. There's a Mac program I found that does conversion but it's $179!!! I could see $50, but I can't see spending that much on a conversion program. I will probably download the free one that was recommended tomorrow on the windows side of my mac. I hate to do that because toggling over from mac to windows programs isn't fast or fun. Plus the Buzz Tools I had was on a floppy(old) and my laptop doesn't even take floppies-CD only programs. So, Buzz Tools is out.
