I'm another that is suggesting to check out the Quilt in a Day books by Eleanor Burns. Years ago, I started out using her Log Cabin book, and made several quilts, with great success.

Well I'm bummed, went to the local Half Price Book store, the website said they had the E.B. Log Cabin book in stock, so I made a trip in and of course it wasn't there.
