    Default Need help with dresden plate template

    I want to make a 36 inch dresden plate and would like to make my own template, $18. to buy, does anyone know the dimentions I need for the blades, it calls for 20 blades.

    You can download a template at www.quilterscache.com . Then just extend the lines out to the size you want, or enlarge on a photocopier. The wedges you'll probably want to be 30" from the center of the circle (remember that the center circle is not a part of the wedge template.

    Are you wanting the complete plate to be 36" tip to tip including the circle or do you want each blade to be 36" from the circle?

    The whole dresden plate measures 36", it is a pattern on the Nancy Zieman site.
