Default need help with flannel quilt top

I had to make a baby quilt fast so I got a "cheater" quilt (baby) already pieced. I would like to pre wash this. The blocks are surged and I am going to zigzag the raw ends so it wouldn't ravel.

is it o.k to prewash this pre made top?

I'd finish the quilt and then wash it. I wouldn't chance creating a problem on flannel.

i sounds like you have prepared for excess raveling, but I wouldn't chance it myself.
