Exactly Franie! More than once my wadded up mess of material and thread have hit that spot :( God gave all the sewing patience to my sister. She's always yelling at me to "rip it out" and I hate ripping out! I know it's part of sewing, but I do hate it. Now I just tell her that if God wanted me to be perfect he would have made me an angel.

Hi, Kooklabell and ICU_FOSTERMOM! I grew up in No. Reading, moved around for a few years, and am now in Nashua which is the best move I ever made! Small world, isn't it?!

I'm amazed at how small our world is. I moved around during my college years as a way to "check out the country" I left Mass in 76 moved to NY, then Florida, then Iowa. I returned to NY in 84. Never made it to Ca. :) I still return to Cape Ann for 3 vacations. I miss Mass/NH these days. This upstate town (about 60 miles from NYC) has grown from a railroad town/farming community to a very busy suburb. I miss the days of no malls, Woolworths and one small movie theatre. But my neighbors are like family. My husband and I dream about moving to Mass or Utah or Idaho, but we can't imagine leaving the neighbors behind. I still have at least 10 years to retirement  so....

I hear you! Love my neighborhood and plan on never moving again, if I can avoid it. For one thing, I don't EVER want to pack again! When I die, they can bury me in the backyard. _:-)_

The ten years you have until retirement might be a good thing, the way the stock market is going up and down. I have about five years to go and am not sure my retirement funds will recoup what they've lost. But, at least I have something. As much as I might worry about it, there's just so much worrying you can do about long term stuff. Better just to do what you can and wait it out.

If things ever change and you decide to move, hope you come back this way!
