    I wonder if someone can help identify a block for me. It is the first one in row 2. Thanks so much!

    This is the closest I could find. It is named "Illinois" from 1000 Great Quilt Blocks by Maggi McCormick Gordon. Yours may be a variation of this block.

    there is a block just like that but points going to the corner .....called ixl or 1excel circa 1936
    then there is a woodland path .with 4 flying geese in each side and the 1/2 square corners turned a quarter turn

    I think I would call it north south east and west. But other than that no idea. I love the quilt and the colours.
