I talked with the lady who runs the local guild (I didn't know we had one until yesterday) and she said she's gonna ask the guild about a foot pedal or even a sewing machine at their next meeting. It may or may not get me closer to being able to sew again.

I had a broken pedal some time back. I took it to my sewing machine repair person and he ordered me a new one. Works great!

I definitely would check out used machines I have one used from a dealer and one I bought at a rummage sale wal-mart machines are ok if you get a good one but if you get a bad one it will be gone (sent away) for service more than at your house Sandie
