Default Need help with my Gammill long arm

I have a Gammill Classic Plus (2006) that recently had the LED lights in the handle go out--the black lights in the same light bar continue to work. So I called my Gammill Rep and he sent me a new (and costly) updated LED strip--but the same thing is still happening. I've talked to the Rep, he's been in contact with Gammill and they think it is a "bad" light bar and are sending another one. While I really, really hope this is the issue and can get this dang light working (just too hard to do FMQ without my close-up light) I'm worried and wondering if anyone on the QB has ideas on a fix. Thanks!

There is a yahoo group for Gammill owners. You might also want to join and post there.

As a temporary fix I would consider battery operated LED stick ons.

I've always had very good service from Gammill. They will continue to work with you until it is fixed properly.

Thanks, All. I expect I'll get the newest light bar on Monday or latest Tues (I only live 4 hours away from West Plains- HQ for Gammill) and I'm hopeful that will solve the problem. If not, my guess is the tech will be heading my way in the next few weeks. I can see well enough with my overhead lights to work off the back, or do easy E2E stuff (NOT on black!) but have 3 waiting for some custom work. I do have some stick-on LEDs but little worried it will throw the balance of the machine off some. I have posted on yahoo and Gammill forum, too. Just freaking that it might be wiring issue.

I use a Bendable Bright Light on the front of my longarm and point it directly where I need it - love it and it cost $35.00. Hope you get your problem solved quickly - no one likes to quilt in the dark!!!
