Dang, think of the fabric she could have bought with the money she used to buy all those containers.
I thought the same, but then thought she has to use all the containers since she's working in her basement ... humidity & spiders she mentioned ...

I love her method!!!!!!!!! Just think how much time it saves her to start her next quilt.

I'm sure it was time comsuming to get it organized, but after that it's a piece of cake as long as when she buys more she puts it in the appropriate container.

Now, if I could only find these containers for about $1.00 each??? LOL

Wow, The more I looked at the pics the more I started feeling kind of nauseous at the thought of organizing something like that (cause I know myself so well)>> changing my mind half way thru--re organizing--deciding a day later the reds should be in 3 different groups instead of one--later thinking the changed reds have now thrown off the blues... and shouldnt the greens really be next to the yellows??"before I go to bed"--ahh heck,(hair sticking straight up) I need a glass of whine lmao

And the sad thing is...I spent half the night last night looking for the other 4 yrds of specially ordered oriental fabric to start my sons quilt n wallhanging ( that matches the pillow cases I already made him for Christmas!) I'm going for scavanger hunt #2 today..I'm sick about it..I tell ya. lmao 4 yrds is NOT that small!

Wow! I'd spend all my time folding and recategorizing if I had her system! I just keep bins of individual colors/mixes and periodically go through them and cut up into scrap mix anything that no longer jumps out at me and says "use me" right away. If I want to buy more fabric, I have to get rid of some of it from my current boxes.

Oh Boy, I would hate for anyone to see what mine looks like. However, I am impressed with the organization.
    Now, I think I'm tired.

All I can say is Wow!! I love the idea of being able to reach for and find what you need at any time ... but I would be 99 before I could ever afford all those plastic containers. The ideas of how to organize were great though, weren't they?
