    Default Need help picking fabrics

I have never made a tumbling blocks quilt but have the Marci baker book and am ready to make the quilt. I just don't know which fabrics to go with. I am not great at picking fabrics.

First picture is of the shower gift so far: diaper bag, baby wipes container, sheet and mesh bumper set, ribbon to tie different parts together. The next picture is of the coordinating burp cloths that have flannel on the other side. The last two pictures show possibilities for the quilt. The border will be the turtle fabric. Should I go with gray, green and blue OR green, blue, and white. Gray is a charcoal gray although it looks almost brown in pix. it matches the fabric i bought that was in the turtle fabric collectionWhat do you think?

    Thanks in advance for opinions.

I prefer the green/blue/white, but that quilt is going to see a lot of love, and therefore a lot of dirt. For that reason, I would pick the gray.

Grey is a hip color for that 20-30 year old set. (IE: new moms.) It's very contemporary! I would go with that. It goes with that darling bag too!
