Sorry for this mess. All LA quilters are not like this so you might want to look for one that comes highly recommended next time you need one quilted. I am looking forward to seeing it when it is done, sounds like a beauty.

Boy did she get to you////// Stop payment immmediately on your check. Turn her in to the BBB if she is doing this as a business, pass the word around of her name and what she did. I would even take her to small claims court. You told her the correct measurement to begin with, she is the one who called a smaller size. OOOOOOh just reading it made me so angry.....

I think you have the right idea. Since the center and two sides are done, it shouldn't be too hard. Just practice, practice and then go for it. I know it will still be a big job. This quilt will sure have a story! Good Luck!

What a terrible thing to happen to you. If she quoted you a price, then that is all you should have to pay. I think I would try to find someone else to quilt it. Good luck with it and let us know what happens.

I don't understand either. I'd tell her that I hired her to do a job.A whole job and nothing but a job!!

I do a lot of hand quilting, and I enjoy it. It really doesn't take that long, especially now that most of it's finished. At this point, I wouldn't worry about a frame. I'd put it in a hoop. You'd be surprised how quickly it can come together.

This is a terrible thing to happen, but how heartwarming to see all the offers to finish it for you. Most quilters are just great people!!!
