Need help please!
I have a Janome DC3050 that was working perfectly until I took it in for yearly maintenance. Since I got it back, every time I try to pick up bobbin thread, the needle thread goes down around the bobbin casing and gets stuck on the hook part (don't know what it's called) to the right of the bobbin holder. I've tried replacing the needle, checking the bobbin holder is in correctly, rethreading. I'm at a loss, can anyone help or do I need to find somewhere else to take it in to troubleshoot?
TIA,
Teri

Service like that burns me up! Why doesn't the repairman check the machine more then a few stitches before declaring it ready. I never leave the shop anymore without plugging my machine up and going through all the stitches. I don't care if I get rolled eyes or pursed lips from the shop. I have had my fill of really stupid machine maintenance.

I totally agree. When I purchased my newer machine (Singer 2662), I asked them to take it out of the box and make sure it worked. I also had another in mind and asked to see if it worked. They couldn't get that one to work so pulled off the shelf and sent it back. My 2662 worked just fine and still does. When I got my 401 at an estate sale I gave it a test drive with my test kit.

Thanks for your responses! He's taking it back today to get it sorted. I thought maybe there was some simple thing I was missing since I was told it was good to go. Probably should have phoned straight away since the man was super nice about it, but had to have a little tantrum moment first...I'll just blame pregnancy hormones for this drama.
