Need Help, Please!!! yardage
I'm making a 'watermelon' log cabin quilt top for a friend that we are exchanging the labor on another project. The finished top will measure 63 x 69.
Since we are trading 'labor only' she wants to reimburse me for the fabrics and I don't know how to figure that out. I've used a bunch from my stash and have bought a bunch to have a nice variety of colors.
I thought I could go to EQ7 and figure it out, but No.........I've not learned it well enough.
Any master minds out there that can help solve this problem????????? Please, I need your input.
Thanks for all eternity!!!!!!
Jennifer

TiggersMom ... I don't know the pattern that you mentioned.
Google gives lots of different possibilities. So that does not give me any help.
Seeing "log cabin" tells me probably a lot more is needed than just a little bit more as per Tartan. Log cabins have so many seams that you do use quite a bit more.
Being log cabin, could you not measure how many inches of length you need per block, at the width.
Then you would know you need for example, 1-1/2 WOF for one block.
Multiply by the # of blocks. And complete the math for the total required.
Drawing from stash, etc. you don't need to worry about
Calculate your pricing based on today's LQS yardage prices,
no matter what price you paid for your stash fabric.
You have me totally intrigued with the pattern name.
Would you please give us a link as to what you are aiming it to be like?
Please? and Thanks!

This might help http://search.quiltshops.com/calculator/calculator.htm
I knew I could count on you ladies.
However that did not include the borders, so I must figure that in.
