Default need help with Prairie Points

I have seen all kinds of tutes for this, but I'm doing it the hard way as I want to use the different scraps left over from the quilt. So, as I'm seeing it....I'm going to have to pin each one in place, spaced as I choose. My question is, and it seems like I've maybe run across a tute related to my problem but I don't know where I saved it. The quilt is quilted but she didn't leave me an inch around the edges. How can I attach the PP's and cover up my raw edges?

I once made a baby quilt with pp's and I pinned them in place and then machine basted the pp's onto the front of the quilt (with the points facing the quilt) and I made my own binding as well - cut and sew your strip lengthwise, fold it in half lengthwise and iron and with raw edges to edge of quilt sew onto quilt top with machine and then turn and hand sew binding to the back of the quilt. I enjoy hand sewing the binding. That is how I do mine.

I've saved a couple of files about prairie points. Maybe one of them will be a help to you. Can't wait to see your quilt!

Thank you both. Sue what you did is what I want to do. Pink, I saved both of your documents. Part 1 showed me how I want to do mine; part 2 will be helpful later....that is if I can remember where I saved it! or THAT I saved it! I'm pretty proud of my quilt....it is the Thimbleberries Christmas quilt... actually my second quilt that I have made, so it was quite a step out for me.
