I saw a picture of a quilt (I believe on this site) that almost looked like subway tile. I am new and am thinking that stips of material would be easier for me to try. Can anyone help? Thanks

Am a Great Fan of using that method to put together many types of blocks, and often works well to quickly assemble a top. Best tip I can give you is to keep the seams all the same, and get good with a rotary cutter and mat.

Good Luck and Welcome to the Board!!

The Library has many quilt books. Get some for fun and inspiration. They have all skill levels and will probably even have quilts similar to the one you saw and liked. Have fun ;)

One more.... if you see something and want to keep the info, use the bookmark feature it will put the topic in your profile, so you can easily return to it at a later time. Can make this info public or private, with your own notation. Fantastic Feature !!

Put 'jelly roll quilts' in the search box and see what shows up. You might try searching for 'brick' too.

No, it was rows of strips and I think each row was offset. But thanks!
