I would treat each sampler block as an individual. Amanda Murphy has some good ideas in her books on this, plus there's a book on FMQ that uses about 5 basic shapes (i.e. C, S, etc) and has you combine these into a continuous line design within the block. Go to the APQS website and check Dawn Cavanugh's articles on how to quilt the quilt--she's done an article that was in one of the magazines (F & P??) on how to do continous line quilting on rows of FG, too.

    love you quilt!

A magnificent quilt. I would Sid for the blocks. No idea for centre.

I like your quilt very much. The center panel is beautiful. You mentioned that you know what you plan to do quilting-wise in the center panel. I would think the quilting in the outer blocks should complement that style of quilting. In my opinion too many styles of quilting such as Leah Day does might be distracting in a quilt with more traditional blocks. I like the idea of echo quilting in the outer blocks or stitching 1/4 inch inside each piece of each piece.

what a neat quilt! I agree with other members that SID would be a nice way to showcase each block design... please post a finished photo once you have quilted it.

Lots of good ideas here, especially the pebbles. Very popular now. I especially want to thank you for including the quilt on the quilt rack at the right hand of your picture. I am working on a version of that block, originally seen in Quiltmaker and titled "Pink Lemonade". Your setting looks easier for a king-size quilt. Thanks much!

Wow you made a beautiful quilt! I would stitch in the ditch also. Am trying that on a quilt with big blocks too.

I like the idea of STID on the blocks for the pattern it will produce on the backing. You could do some form of curvy or wavy pattern thru the sashing and framing to offset the linear look of the STID. Great looking quilt!

Beautiful quilt. I mainly do FMQ on my 9" Throats machines. Never made a qquilt with a center like that.

I would do wavy lines thru the center panel. It looks like you are getting suggestions for the remainder blocks. I really like starting with a panel in a quilt and then building out. Yours is awesome!
