    Looks somewhat like a disappearing 9 patch but not sure if it's the same pattern.

    looks like the focus square and four patch blocks. draw it out. As to fading colors, use Retayne to make colors stay.

    Color catchers don't stop fabric from fading, they just absorb dyes that might bleed from new fabrics, helping to keep them from getting on other fabrics.

    Your quilt is very nice. I just finished and gifted a quilt to my son made with this pattern. It is on the picture forum if you want to look it up finished. It is an easy pattern and fun to make. Good luck in making another one.
