    Thanks, I got it! Having a leader piece really helps alot. I was able to finish all 100 pieces really quickly.

    The tutorial I am following has you cut the pieces and then sew them. As mentioned, I read about leaving them as squares, sewing and then cutting. I am going to try that next. It seems a bit easier. But then again, some of the things that I think are simple as pie turn out to be some of the most challenging things!

    That is what I like about quilting (very much a newbie) it is a challenge and always keeps me thinking. What seems like a mindless craft to those who do not quilt is really a craft that requires many, many mental skills!

    I find that when I make hsts, it works out better if I cut them a little bit bigger, then I can square Them to the right size for my pattern. Before I started doing them like this, I had edges that were just a little too short. Don't forget to post a pic when you get it together!

    I make them bigger and square them up too. I learned that the hard way.
