    Default Need help with some math ...Please

    If you have a 9" block and you want to put flying geese around it..what size of flying geese would you make...thank you so much...I know someone here will have the answer...

    Flying geese are twice as wide as they are tall. You could make them 3x6, and that would give you 3 geese along each side, but the geese would be much bigger than the block and kind of overwhelming. Or you could make them 1x2, with 9 on each side, but that might be more geese than you want. There are many possible combinations... Just be sure the height of the geese divides evenly into 9. (1"=9 geese, 1.5"=6 geese, 2.25"=4 geese, etc.) And don't forget that each corner you will have room for 2 more geese, if you don't want a plain corner.
