Question Need Help with Star quilt

I want to make a quilt for a niece who will graduate this year. I need a five point star to fit in a 60" X 60" ( or there about) field. There will be a big 'N' on top of the star along with some small stars. I have no idea about how to make the pattern but thought maybe someone who uses EQ could figure it out for me.?

Here is a site with a pattern that you could use the basics of to enlarge to make your super large star for your quilt.

I have pieced 5 pointed stars, but in this case, with it so big, I'd just appliqué it.

I am currently working on a Dallas Cowboy quilt for my brother. I did a Texas flag quilt where the star was half of a star, placed on the fold before cutting. I plan on using the same star for this quilt. My problem is the white and blue border I want to be around the perimeter of the star. My advice would be to use the half star cut on the star and applique it to your quilt, then stitch around the star. Do the same for your letter

I will have a go for you - I assume you want the star to be 60" or close.
Thought I could post a pdf but can't see how, am sure I have done it before, so will post an image, hope you can read it here. If not send me a pm for a pdf.
