I can't find the sizes or cutting instructions for this quilt. I don't want to pp it and I find lots for PPing. Found lots with directions for sewing together but no piece sizes. I have spent most of today searching the net and am not cross eyed. Any suggestions? I am not talented enough to figure out the sizes on my own. I want either a 12 inch block or 16 inch block. I have 4 colors to go in it. I hope I have given enough info.

This is a digital version of the pattern which uses a double layer of the sashing in the middle.

Quilters Cache is a great resource for quilt pattern.
This one is for PPing, but you can take the PP patterns, and measure your sizes.

That being said ... I know you said you didn't want to do PPing, but are you really sure?
Believe me, it's a lovely pattern, but oh so much easier when you do it via PPing.
You'll truly enjoy the end result of all those pointy points and perfect matching.

here is a link to the pattern that cathyvv mentioned - just click on the download button
https://www.robertkaufman.com/quilti..._in_the_water/
also...if you want to alter the size(s) of your blocks, this site has free downloadable coloring sheets that you can download and print onto graph paper then adjust to the size you want. (don't forget to add seam allowances) Scroll way down the page here, to find "storm at sea coloring pages" links:

here is another free pattern download that includes the diamond template and the sizes of the other blocks:

oops...I just read through it,...this is actually an applique method ... maybe worth a try?
this has both traditional templates and pp templates

That was the quilt I made for my son and DIL when they got married. I'll find the instructions to make it the size you want. Then you add your seam allowances and make your templates. It was my third quilt and a lot of fun to make.... but I like detail sewing.
I can scan and save as a pdf for you if you like.

I want to thank all of you for the links. I have found those before but there isn't good cutting instructions. I took a program I have and found that I can get the cutting instructions from it. I don't like that it cuts the side pieces into 8 pieces though. I will make up one and then get the measurements and make it with 5 pieces. Again thank you. Such a great group of people on this board!!!!!
