Need help with thread color!
I thought if I made a big block quilt it would be faster and easier, but now the quilting has me stumped. First the color thread, I was thinking dark on the back and light on the front, but of course the bottom shows up in the lines, and I was going to stitch in the ditch and the rows do not line up much so there will be a lot of starting and stopping. This is the hardest quilt to finish and I have to get it done this weekend. I don't do meandering, only walking foot quilting.
So if you guys have any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

I tend to pick a color that contrasts with Everything...so maybe a light green or gold. I don't like my thread to disappear unless I am doing custom and only want texture. How about double line crosshatching. You can do diagonal or not...and no reason it has to be measured out. It can be asymmetrical.

It's lovely!
Here's my HO ... How about starting each square/rectangle by echo quilting just inside the seam (or you could start SID), and then continue with a square-spiral to the middle, tie off and then go to the next ...
Color-wise, I recently heard to use a gray if in doubt. You could use a monofilament thread as well.

OK then maybe a gray will work, really don't want to show a thread on the back so much, on the front it will work with everything. Does monofilament melt from the heat in the dryer?? That would work if it's not to hard to use.
