I have tried searching on here to find help. I did find the one tutorial on how to put a zipper into a bow tuck bag. Which is a great one by the way! But will not help with where I am at on mine, I am afraid.

I decided at the last minute that I wanted to put a zipper into my bow tuck bag (which I have modified, so prolly not a bow tuck any more lol). What I have is the outside and lining completed and have the boxed corners. I am at the point that I would have the main fabric turned inside out with the handles tucked in....I also have the lining with the right side turned out. The directions say to put the lining into the bag, right sides together....here is my problem....Im trying to put a zipper in now WITHOUT having to undo everthing I have just done. when I think I have it right, I second guess myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

You pretty much have to put the zipper in at the right stage of construction or you can't put it in and be able to sew both sides.

I think at this point you need to just leave THIS bag without a zipper and put one in the NEXT bag you make.

Probably not the answer you wanted, but otherwise you would be pretty much best friends with Mr. seam ripper before its all said and done.

this site tells how to add a zipper to an existing tote bag. Perhaps you can use the info to add one to your purse

About.com: Sewing. In fact she has a tute on zippers today. She explains it very well and has different ways to put a zipper in.
