Start her a collection of mini quilts (12x12") to display one each month on a tabletop metal hanger. You could do one for her now and then and soon you would have one for each month of the year.

What about a Casserole Carrier, a quilted tote bag or reversible placemats ?

Here is a quick gift I made recently. It was well received. It is a little bag full of bags to take shopping with you instead of using plastic.

How about a casserole dish carrier with a dessert in the dish.

I'd like a little basket filled with all of the little things that we always could use more of - like beige thread, an extra blade for the rotary cutter, a pkg. of machine needles, a seam ripper and a homemade pin cushion made out of a special mug that will remind her of you every time she looks at it.

I agree the latest gadget would be so well received. One thing I buy as a inexpensive gift and would alway love to receive are Generals White Chalk Marking Pencils.

How about a oven dress. They went over really well in this area. You can make it in colors to match her kitchen.
