Default need ideas for borders to a feathered star top

I just finished this Judy Neimeyer feathered star. I took the pix with it on our queen size bed. I want to add 12 to 18 inches on a side to make it fit. The pattern was for a wall hanging 60" square. I have leftover fabrics in all the colors.

Making it was an experience with a new and different PP technique of "floating points". There were two 8 hour classes 2 weeks apart and then I finished it at home after going on holiday.

I don't want to take away from the busy center, so I really need ideas

    That is absolutely stunning!
My first thought for a border would be a narrow, tall delectable mountains border, with the neutral towards the center of the quilt and an array of the other colors at the edges.
