If it's for a specific child how about their name?
Mommy in one corner
Daddy another
and sibling(s) (or pet's name) in the fourth?
Another would be to make blocks in the same style with one of your background fabrics in the centre, white border and then another background fabric for the outer portion. Of course, wonkified, to match!
