need ideas, please
I belong to a quilting group of ladies, numbering 8. I like to make some small gifts for the Christmas holidays and need a few ideas. Anyone have some good thoughts for something a bit different and unusual?
We don't do exchanges but it's nice to bring along a little holiday cheer that I have made for each of them.
I was thinking of mug-rugs but am still in the thinking stage.
thanks for any suggestions.....

Mug rugs are good, book marks. My niece is in girl scouts and she's coming over today to pick up some things I'm donating. They're doing the usual pot holders and dish cloths. I have a few comic book boards which will help stabilize the book marks.

I made each of the girls in my group one of those snap bags using the metal ruler. I put some little quilting tool in it and of course some Christmas chocolates. They come in handy for carrying small quilting items.

Thread catcher - a bag lined with batting to catch the threads, and something to keep it open - a ring of some type.
For bookmarks - iron to Steam a Seam2 the heavier stuff.
A pincushion that attaches to the wrist - could tie or use velcro
Others have suggested ornaments.

What about one of these little twist thread catchers?
