Default Need Inexpensive source of pre-cuts

I am helping out some lovely older ladies at a quilting club. These ladies are in their mid-80's to 90s. They still hand quilt slowly but surely but are having some trouble cutting and frankly, i worry about them. I spend most of my time helping them cut and doing machine pasting. I'd like to show them some quilting with pre-cuts especially jelly rolls but I need to find a very inexpensive source. Any ideas, helpful ladies????

I think your best bet would be to contact another local quilt guild and see if someone has an accucut go or studio die cutter with a 2.5" strip cutter. If you explain why you need the pre cuts and supply the fabric (which you got on sale ), they should be able to cut it for you.

Connecting Threads has great prices on the precuts. Also, if you sign up for Quiltshops.com's mailing list, you can get all sorts of great ads. The shops vary, but I've gotten some great deals (example Tonga Treats for $19 - over $40 in my LQS). When you see a sale, they do sell out quickly, so if you want something, you have to be quick to order.

I have seen this place has some really good specials. http://www.missouriquiltco.com/. Does no one have a rotary cutter and mat?

I agree with this; it would be so much cheaper. Also there are stores that rent the machine; you just take your fabric to the store and they have all the dies and it's an hourly price for all you can cut.

I think Connecting Threads would be the best source - they have fabric samplers - that are pre cut into charm squares or strips, fat quarters ,etc - and the prices are very good - and they have a great selection.

    I get a daily email from this web-site: http://www.quiltersdailyspecial.com/daily-deal/

Last week, it was a different Benartex charm pack or jelly roll every day for 42-46% off.

Missouri Star Quilt Company also has a daily deal that is often a jelly roll.

There are Jelly Rolls & Charms on Joann.com, also. They had a jelly roll on clearance yesterday for $3.19, I believe.
