    Default Need info on ruler

Hi, this ruler was donated to our sewing group and we were wondering what quilt pattern uses it or how to make a block with it. Does anyone have any information? Of course you know who brought it home with her bc no one knew how to use it. It looks like it might would make one of those long half ( not square) rectangles. Any info would be helpful and appreciated, thanks.

It’s about 4.5 on short end and 8.5 long way.

That makes a very striking quilt! I like the little 4-patch in the middle of the blocks. It would really shine with jewel tone fabrics.

Toogie ... Like you, my first thought was a TriRec ruler aka RectangularHST.

I googled "arabic lattice quilt pattern" and found lots of ideas for the arabic lattice as shown.

Also tried "quilt block patterns by rob". Would seem that these rulers are by Rob Appell, originally with Missouri Star and now with Stitchin' Heaven.

Look forward to seeing where your creativity takes you with this!

I was also going to suggest the half rectangle block, but also wondered what if you put it together with a triangle? Would sides even match up?

Looks like a tri-rec template to me. Has the notch in the small end and all. Will be interesting to see how you use it.
