    I haven't shaverg - I'd be worried that it would pucker the sandwich? Maybe it would be worth trying that way on a small sample and seeing what happens? But really, the tacks are so tiny , they hardly protrude at all if they're just straight through.

    I have one I bought at a garage sale last summer, still in the package. I will have to try it, theonly place I have to sandwich is the floor, and thats a killer to pin ... t sure would be faster

    Never tried a basting gun, but I love spray basting. Goes fast and lasts. It might be an option.

    I don't think it is possible or necessary with the Microtack, there are two lengths of tack available but they are still too short to do this, and I think it might misalign your sandwich :D
