There are so many ways to change the look ... you just have to audition and see what you like as far as the plate center circle, the sashing, corner blocks. If you can take a dk. blue background square and one of your plates to the fabric store, you could maybe see what's right for you there before you spend your money.

I love dresden plate, I have made two of them. I love the dark blue fabric. I would put the plates on a white background and use the blue as sashing and or a border. Your plates are beautiful. Hope you share pictures when it is complete.

Bridgette, sorry ... am intruding on your post to say thanks to you and CoriAmD for compliments paid to my quilt top. (It looks better in reality - a little brighter; the blades on the plates' colors match the bitty flowers on the main fabric.)
