    I vote for the first one, too. It just speaks to me and feels right. Nice job.

    I like them all. I recommend that you choose a background that your Grandmother would love.

    I think I would go with the bright blue. Sash with red and maybe put a gold star between sashing or a gold square. See my avatar for what I mean by the star. This is beautiful.

    My preference is the first one, the dark floral. I like how the brights and lighter fabrics stand out on it. Beautiful block. :D

    Definatly the dark blue. It just brings out the colours of the other strips.

    I like them in the following order:

    1. Dark blue
    2. Green
    3. Light blue

    The first. I too lost my GM in 2000. She did not quilt or any craft exc. a brief knitting foray. She made a shawl that she gave to me as I was (and still am) the only sewer,crafter in family. She knew I would love it. I DO.
    When missing her, I wrap it around me and know how much I was loved. Could you do the same and feel her energy and guidance?
