I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother. Grandmothers are responsible for much more than they realize!

I like the one with the dark blue!
It showcases your plate fabrics much better!

What will your plate 'center' be?

You are getting so many different responses, guess I must ask-----What would Grandma say if you asked her the same question? Did she have a favorite color? Since it's the first since she's been gone, might as well complete it as a tribute to her. I'm sure she's watching and will smile when you finally decide.

I like the dark blue background. I know about losing Grandma, I lost mine in '06. Being the only quilter in the family, I got all her stuff, including unfinished stuff, and I'm trying to get better at embroidery so I can finish her dresdin slates, she has embroidered beautifully in the centers. Her work is so fine, I don't think I'll ever get there. But, they are a treasure.

I vote for the dark blue also.. I think the plates will look beautiful on it. The plates are what you want to see, not the fabric they're on. Just an opinion, it was free for the asking.. so do with it whatever you please.

I like the first and second one and you could alternate them and then sash with a white on white print. That would make everything pop. Very nice work. Good luck choosing.
