Anyone know the differences between these machines?

Also, would it be better to have the sewing/embroidery machine opposed to the strictly embroidery only, other than a several hundred dollar price difference.. I already have two sewing machines.

    Brother PE770 FS

I can't answer what is the difference between them, as I don't have one. But, when I bought my new machine I was going through this same problem. Sewing or sewing/embroidery. I decided on 2 separate units. Embroidery takes a little time to do, so when I do get my embroidery I can be doing 2 things at the same time instead of waiting for it to get done.

I don't know if this helps out any.

I believe the PE 700II takes memory cards and the PE 770 has a USB port that accepts a flash, thumb drive.

PE 700 II memory card only and no disney designs
PE 770 both memory card, and usb card and no disney designs
PE 770 FS (which I believe should be DS) will be memory card, usb card and disney designs. If you plan on doing any disney designs at all or think you might always go with the DS at the end of the model number. I hope this clears this up for you.

So better of the 3 PE770 DS

I have the 770 Ds - Disney one, the only problem is you are limited with the design area (space for the design) the others I think have a larger design area, hence more expsive. Lace

They are all 5X7 you can't go any larger on these machines to go larger you need to look at there website and see which ones have all three hoops.

Thanks so much for the replies. I decided on the Brother PE770 (PE 770). It should arrive somewhere around Friday of next week.

    Now I have another question......

What type of needle would you recommend? The Organ brand or something different?

I've always used Schmetz (sp?) machine embroidery needles and metallic needles for those type of threads. I think for some of those type of things trial and error comes into play.

They recommend Schmetz and that is what I use. Enjoy your new machine and can't wait to see what you make.

I am doing the same comparison right now between the Brother PE770 and Brother PE700II. You can get the disney card for any Brother machine and be able to use it on them. I watched videos on youtube for both machines and they seam to be exactly the same I think or am I missing something? They both have the card reader and usb port. Is one of the machines the newest verion? They are only $100 in cost diffrence. Help please! Thanks!
