Need a Little Help from my Friends--Part II
As soon as I read Jan's comment about ribbon being larger, I had a "duh" moment when I thought, "That was perfectly obvious". Trouble is, it wasn't obvious at the time! So back to the drawing board, if I add another row top and bottom, the ribbon border will lay just framing a queen-sized bed. So I auditioned three per row, and a row completely across the top. I think pros and cons about each and wanted to hear your opinions. So here goes (and excuse the crummy design board with loose threads and two different flannels):
With filled in extra row and a white border and ribbon, made larger.
The version with only three added to top and bottom.

So love this fabric. Makes the prettiest S & W motifs. The center one is 24" Square.
These are 8" square. When I can get the larger thing figured, I will be good to go. Anxious to hear input about symmetry and "weight", etc. I so appreciate the kind words and help that you have all given. You gals are the best.

I like the second one with just 3 stars. Seven stars just looks out of balance to me. With the three stars you can fill in the white space with some complimentary quilting design. The fabrics and design are lovely!!

Are you just adding length but not width? Three stars per end ( and three per side if you need extra width as well) with either white blocks alternating, or perhaps pick one of your other colors to set off the design, like a deep purple , burgundy, navy, or fuschia.
