I like it as is, but would be very tempted strip piece some sashing so that 'Bob' is surrounded by the orange and the yellow acts as a cornerstone between the pieces of orange.
Did I mention that I love the color orange? And that it works perfectly with the Bob fabric? And that this quilt top you're making reminds me of my now 14 year old grandson when he was little? Thanks for the memory!

this is the planned quilt for my second cousin's brand new baby boy.
the yellow of the fabric is a little brighter than the pictures.
i'm planning for the backing to be blue to match the bob the builder squares
what do you think?

please be honest in your opinions.
thanks in advance

It is beautiful. Perfect for a baby boy!
Definitely use the blue for the backing, and as someone else said use the blue for the binding too - I like a definite frame for my quilts so I'm biased, but I'd do a narrow binding.

I agree with the orange sashing. The yellow just doesn't go for me --- but I am not good with color and always have someone else choose for me.
