    Try turning every other strip end to end. This breaks up the colors a bit without sashing. I have done a few quilts this way and everyone seems to really like the outcome. Just a suggestion.

    I had one suggestion and you've already addressed it - I'd add blue binding. Love the quilt, the sashing looks like a building in progress. this lucky little boy will love his "blankie".

    That's fine. Just make sure you quilt it in a thread the color of the backing.
