Cute quilt! I like the quilt in general, but something about the yellow doesn't work for me. I like someone else's idea about using all orange sashing and the yellow for corners. I really liked the idea of the blue backing and then binding with that color.

I think the yellow print doesn't work somehow. I think I'd use a stronger yellow, something along the lines of the orange value.
And I wouldn't use that print. I'd say to use a strong yellow, but not a solid. Maybe one of the water color yellows? Or some other strong yellow print that has a modern feel to it. The print you have is too small in scale to go with the rest of the quilt. You need something bolder.

The bob the builder squares and the orange both say modern, whereas the yellow print says old-fashioned whimsy, calico kind of look. There's a dissonance between the yellow and the rest of the quilt.

If you used all orange for the sashing, then you could choose something fun for the yellow. I think the current yellow doesn't read fun, whereas the rest of the quilt reads fun little boy.

Hope you have fun deciding what to do. It's a lovely quilt!

You have made a colourful and interesting quilt for a little person. Looks like you fussy cut the squares so the figures would be framed well. I think you have done a great job.

Sometimes we work on them so much that we begin to dislike the quilt intensly. We just need to put it aside for a little while and when we revisit the work we are so pleasantly surprised.

I am told babies react to bright colors, and so this sounds great. Sometimes, we make baby quilts to please parents and this should please both parents and baby. I like it!

Great job! As he gets older he will love it even more. Definitely a blue backing would work very well. Don't be so hard on yourself said she who agonizes over every quilt she makes.

Very nice! He will love looking at the little Bob figures as he gets older. Babies like studying details, I think, and he'll love this quilt!

I would keep the sashing consistent and use all orange. Or I would use blue corner stones to break up the orange. The yellow is too soft in my opinion.

I think the blue would be perfect. It's a very cute quilt.

The colors are perfect. I usually do not like orange and yellow but it really looks great. Makes the yellows pop.
