Default Need name for this quilt block

Unfortunately, the maker passed suddenly, and her daughter asked me to quilt this top for her little girl. I am ready to put a label on, and would like to name this pattern along with other info. I know it is a scrappy, and to me it looks like a block in a block..but is there another name? TIA for any help--I appreciate it.

Looks like a variation of Square in a Square done in 1930 reproduction fabrics.

That's really pretty. I don't know the name but the first thing that came to my mind was Square in a Square, in a Square. That's just my name for it & I'm sure that's not the real name.

It reminds me a bit of a "Hip to Be Square" as seen at https://www.quiltingdaily.com/quilt/...quilt-pattern/ I like that if it starts out with a white square, it ends with a print and visa versa. Also that all the white stripes are the same width and the prints are the same width.

You are kind to finish the quilt for the little girl. What about a fun name on the quilt....Somewhere over the Rainbow came to my mind when seeing the lovely colors.

Agreed! Rff1010 named it, and I will give some thot to "over the rainbow". The soft pastels are perfect for a little girl! However, she will prob put it in her hope chest...it is king size . I just finished hand sewing the binding, and now off to make the label. Thank you-everyone- for them great help!
