Antelope canyon is on my someday list. I did the Dizzy Geese, and that was a challenge for me. I have a Jen Kingwell pattern, Glitter, in progress...I do a few blocks a week-they are fun, require some thought, and they are scrappy.
I am going to make my grand daughter a quilt for her 11th birthday-probably more modern, and that will be a challenge for me!
I have had this Snowflake Medallion pattern for awhile. I pulled it out yesterday and have the greens pulled...still trying to decide on other colors because my stash is lacking pastels.

Your work is always inspiring- anxious to see what you decide!

    tropit......love your blog
MarionsQuilts.....how about a sampler block quilt? I have a couple going & just work on them whenever the mood strikes....mainly to force myself out of my comfort zone to try something new. I am sure whatever you come up with will be fabulous.

I'm not sure how small you want to go but the granny square block is fun to create. It is traditionally done with 2" strips but there is no reason it couldn't be done bigger. I like working with scraps but this block would also be beautiful in shades of one favorite color.

I just spent most of the morning trying to colour the wheel for the bella bella quilt .. um nope ... it's also known as dancing ribbons - I had that on my list, it's too small and I'm losing my mind trying to line everything up ...

Kudos to all of you who like to make such small blocks LOL

I just saw a scrap string quilt on Pinterest and tracked it down because it looks interesting. It was called Picket Fence from Elsie Campbell’s book String Quilts. It is light and dark string 60* diamonds that make the optical illusion of a set of stairs.

I'm working on Carpenters Star from a tutorial from MSQC. It is so fun and works up quick. I'm making two of them using patriotic colors for a 4th of July picnic blanket for each of my grown kids. I had lots of red, white and blue fabric on hand, cutting them into 10" squares. I think I'll back it in denim! I'm really excited to get them done and again love how fast this project is coming together!
