Hi everyone, I'm torn about which thread to use for this border applique. It's kind of whimsical so I was thinking of using contrasting thread. Or should I use matching thread? Or use black thread for everything? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!!
PS-The green chevron at the top is the cover on my ironing board, not part of the quilt.

The he green on the stems and coral or red which ever it is on the flowers sounds great. Also that green chevron that's your ironing board looks like a great border or binding. Lol

My personal choice would be to appliqué them with invisible thread, and if you are going to embellish them within the pieces, use a coordinating or matching colour. Or change thread colours for each piece to match when appliqueing. A high contrast colour of thread I feel would take away from your appliqué.

Since most of us go with whatever is the easiest and quickest, usually I go with Ecru. It blends with most everything and we always have it on hand. The other suggestions are great, and most anything would look good.
